This initiative to unify our database is the first of our “global enablers,” strategies that will make it possible for us to achieve the scale and consistency we need in order to introduce a set of valuable global alumni services.

We currently have dozens of independent, overlapping alumni databases in AI, AAI and at national chapters and MCs around the world.  This results in inefficiency and lost alumni and constitutes a major obstacle to building a global AIESEC alumni network.

The point of this initiative is to integrate these disparate efforts into a unified database and work together to keep it up-to-date and fill in the gaps.  This is the first step to building a true global alumni network.  We just need to do it!

To make it happen we will need a unified team to understand fully what we have in place today, to decide on the optimum database structure and software, to create sharing modalities with the national and local chapters that respect privacy, and to foster a culture around this initiative that ensures we achieve our desired results.
