Alumni receive information from numerous newsletters and social media sites that are managed by AIESEC International, AIESEC Alumni International, national chapters and MCs. Given the multitude of sources, it’s not surprising that some alumni suffer from “communication fatigue” yet still do not receive all of the information they need. This impedes alumni awareness and usage of our global content and services and presents a weak image to the outside world.
Once again, it doesn’t have to be this way! By unifying our global alumni communications, we can make it easy for alumni to get compelling global news and project a strong image to the outside world. In fact, AI and AAI have already begun to do this. To exploit this initiative’s full potential, we propose that the organizations work together to assess all of our outbound and inbound global alumni-related information needs and define an effective communication strategy that meets these needs.
